Financial Documents

The Governing Board is legally required to adopt the annual budget for the Walnut Creek School District on or before July 1, even if the State budget has not been signed by the Governor. This ensures that the district can operate effectively and meet its financial obligations regardless of the timing of the state budget approval.

In addition to the annual budget, the superintendent of each school district is mandated to submit two interim reports to the Governing Board during each fiscal year. The first report must cover the financial and budgetary status of the district for the period ending October 31. The second report shall cover the period ending January 31. These interim reports are crucial for providing the Governing Board with updated financial information and ensuring transparency in the district's financial management.

For public access and transparency, all financial documents related to the budget and interim reports are posted on our website for the last three school years. This allows educational partners, including parents, staff, and community members, to stay informed about the district's financial health and decision-making processes.
